A Houtzdale man died in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning on Route 53 in Jordan Township, Clearfield County.
Neil D. Buckwalter, 81, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clearfield County Coroner's Office, state police at Clearfield said.
Buckwalter was driving a Ford F-150 pickup northbound on Route 53 about 9:10 a.m. and was negotiating a left turn when his pickup came in contact with a southbound flatbed trailer being pulled by a Kenworth semi-tractor being driven by Nicholas N. Ninosky, 40, of La Jose. Ninosky was not injured, but there was damage to the trailer.
The Ford pickup sustained heavy damage.
