HOLLIDAYSBURG -- A Hollidaysburg man died Monday after state police say he crashed his motorcycle into the back of car on Logan Boulevard.
Guy A. Gray, 33, was headed north on Logan Boulevard at a high rate of speed about 10 a.m. when he crashed into the back of a Saturn Ion driven by 20-year-old Tara Marlin, also of Hollidaysburg, according to state police at Hollidaysburg.
Marlin had been at the stop sign at Larch Street and Logan Boulevard and pulled out when the road was clear, but state police noted Gray struck the back of her car because of his excess speed. Both drivers had been traveling in the left lane, state police said.
Gray, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to UPMC Altoona with serious injuries by Hollidaysburg American Legion Ambulance Service and passed away Monday evening. Marlin was not injured.
The crash caused the northbound lanes of Logan Boulevard to remain closed for several hours after the crash.
