A Claysburg woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Bedford County.
According to state police at Bedford, Iva J. Hershberger, 66, of Claysburg, operating a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic LT, pulled out from a stop sign on Point Road about 1:10 p.m. into the path of a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado traveling west on Lincoln Highway, Napier Township.
The Silverado, operated by Andy Carosella, 61, of Herminie, struck Hershberger's vehicle in the side, police said.
Hershberger was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her passenger, 62-year-old Janie M. Musselman of Claysburg was transported by Conemaugh Medstar to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, for treatment of her injuries.
Carosella and his passenger, Kathleen A. Carosella, 69, of Herminie, were transported to UPMC Altoona for treatment of their injuries.
State police were assisted at the scene by Raystown EMS, Bedford EMS, Shawnee Valley Volunteer Fire Company and EMS and Conemaugh Medstar.
