Trio jailed in drug bust
Three people are in jail after the search of a Duncansville home allegedly turns up a large stash of methamphetamine and heroin.
Nicholas Martin, 24, and Karma Woolridge, 21, were taken into custody Friday evening after Altoona and Allegheny Township police, the Blair County Drug Task Force and state narcotics agents with the Attorney General’s office allegedly found 86 grams of crystal methamphetamine — equal to three ounces — and 10 grams of heroin at their home at 307 Foot of Ten Road, according to the charges.
Police descended on the home about 5:45 p.m. with a search warrant and arrested Martin and another man at the home, 22-year-old Blaine Hornbuckle. Woolridge was arrested at her workplace.
Along with the drugs, police allegedly seized about $350 in cash as well as Suboxone.
All three suspects were charged with felony and misdemeanor drug charges that include conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession.
Bail was set Saturday by Magisterial District Judge Steven Jackson at $50,000 cash for each of the three and they remain in Blair County Prison to await a preliminary hearing scheduled for Thursday.
