Conservation and recreational grant applications being accepted

The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is accepting grants for community conservation and recreational projects until April 10, according to a press release.

Sen. Wayne Langerholc Jr., R-Cambria, said the DCNR will host a webinar Feb. 27 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for applicants unable to attend statewide grant workshops or who would like additional information on obtaining state funding.

“Grants can be used for a variety of projects, include rehabilitation of trails and community parks, land conservation projects and improved access to Pennsylvania waterways,” Langerholc said.

Visit www.dcnr.pa.gov, click on “Events” and use the search box to search the keyword “grants” to register for the webinar.

Grant applications and assistance are available at www.grants.dcnr.state.pa.us.
