HUNTINGDON ­ — Rep. Rich Irvin, R-Huntingdon, will host a concealed carry seminar from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Smithfield Fire Hall, 10 Firehouse Lane in Huntingdon.

“This event has been popular in the past as a way for area residents to learn more about their gun rights and firearms laws in Pennsylvania,” Irvin said in a release. “I encourage anyone who has a firearm, or who is considering purchasing one, to attend.”

Speakers at the event will include Huntingdon County Sheriff Jeff Leonard and Huntingdon County District Attorney Dave Smith. They will discuss Pennsylvania’s concealed carry and firearms laws, as well as the state’s Castle Doctrine.
