State Rep. Judy Ward, R-Hollidaysburg, will formally announce her campaign for the 30th state Senate seat at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Williamsburg Community Center.

In a release issued Wednesday, Ward announced her intention to seek the Senate seat currently held by John H. Eichelberger Jr., who is running for the U.S. House 9th District seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster.
