A Tyrone man is in jail on charges he sold marijuana to a state police informant.
Ethan D. Etters, 27, of 324 W. 15th St., was arraigned Thursday on three counts each of delivery and possession of marijuana as well as criminal use of a communication facility and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from three alleged sales of pot to state police over the past year.
According to the charges, the first instance in which Etters is accused of selling marijuana to a state police informant was Aug. 10, 2015, when he allegedly handed the informant a bag of pot for $60 outside Etters' home.
Etters again sold $60 worth of pot to an informant on Oct. 25, 2015, police contend. That sale was also outside Etters' home.
The third alleged sale on July 14 of this year took place outside another home in Tyrone. Police said during that sale, Etters supposedly told the informant he was trying to raise $1,000 in the next week to pay some costs and fines.
Etters was jailed after bail was set by Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller at $15,000 cash, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 8 in Tyrone District Court.
