Service Paws of Central PA held its third annual golf tournament July 11 at Park Hills Country Club.

The event raised more than $10,000.

This was a four-person scramble for all skill levels. There were door prizes for each golfer (gift cards donated by 59 area businesses) as well as skill contests.

The team from Bolger Brothers Inc. (Charlie Burch, Art Partner, Rick Kensinger and Chuck Erickson) turned in the lowest score of 7-under par.

Doug DeAngelis was the winner of the putting contest.

Courtesy Motors offered a brand-new Ford Focus to the first person who met the challenge of getting a hole in one; no one met that challenge, but a runner-up prize was awarded to Justin Kobuck.

There were five drawings for $25 gift cards; Bob Sutton, Art Partner, Marla Moon, each won one and two were won by Wes Elder.

At the end of the day, the golfers enjoyed dinner on the patio at Park Hills.

Service Paws of Central PA is a local nonprofit organization established to financially assist those in need of a service dog and/or those who may already have a service dog and need help with extraordinary veterinary expenses.
