2 min read

ROBERTSDALE -?The Duncansville Walmart store awarded the teachers at Robertsdale Elementary School with $50 reward cards to purchase classroom supplies to help students start the school year off right.

As part of the Teacher Rewards program, the local educators were honored during an award ceremony at Robertsdale Elementary School on Oct. 24.

Don Straub, Walmart store manager, and Jeanie Cinicola, Walmart representative, visited Robertsdale Elementary School to present the reward cards to the teachers. The Walmart Teacher Rewards Program provides teachers across the United States with reward cards that will help offset the cost of classroom expenses. Teachers can use the funds to purchase essential items for their classrooms such as paper, folders, binders, clipboards, pens, pencils, crayons, and markers.

Wayland Heath, Robertsdale Elementary School principal, thanked Walmart for this generous gift.

“The teachers at Robertsdale Elementary School are very fortunate to have this opportunity. Teachers often spend their own money to purchase the necessary supplies for their students and their classrooms throughout the school year.

“Walmart’s Teacher Rewards program will help to offset a portion of this cost. The teachers at Robertsdale Elementary School are very appreciative and would like to thank Walmart for selecting them to receive the gift cards. Our students will greatly benefit from Walmart’s generosity.”
