Greek Orthodox services planned

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1433 13th Ave., Altoona, will hold a Palm Sunday service with divine liturgy at

10 a.m. followed by the sacraments of confession and Holy Unction.

On Holy Friday, April 26, the church will hold Great Vespers of the Descent from the Cross at

4 p.m. and after an approximate one-hour break, Orthros for Holy Saturday with Lamentations at 6 p.m.

On Holy Saturday, April 27, Vesperal Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great will be held at 10 a.m.

On Sunday, April 28, Orthros/ Service of the Holy Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be held at 9 a.m. followed by the Paschal Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom at 10 a.m.

St. George Orthodox Church, 519 58th St., Altoona, will host Palm Sunday Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m.

Bridegroom services will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Holy Unction will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Holy Supper Divine Liturgy is set for 9 a.m. Thursday. Twelve Passion Gospels will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday.

On Friday, April 26, Royal Hours will be held at 10 a.m. Taking down the cross is set for 3 p.m. and Lamentations at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, April 27, Vesperal Divine Liturgy and Paschal Divine Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m.

Agape Vespers will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 28.
