Lloyd Blair Peck, 93, of Altoona, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior early Monday morning at The James E. Van Zandt Medical Center, Altoona. He was born in Tyrone, son of the late Jesse and Betty (Sprankle) Peck.

He married Judith Kay Steckman on Feb. 28, 1970.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy; daughter, Heather Grimminger and husband, Gary; grandson, Brenden Grimminger; and sister, Betty Dick.

After graduating, he enlisted in The United States Army. He went on to become a United States Marine during the Korean War, where he held the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

Lloyd lived a life full of service to his community, including helping set up and orchestrate Memorial Day parades, organizing veteran breakfasts for more than 20 years and volunteering at the VA Hospital to help ensure veterans were receiving their benefits.

He was a member of the Veterans' War Council in Blair County, a founding member of The Blair County Honor Guard, The Hollidaysburg American Legion Post No. 516, The Duncansville VFW Post No. 8724 and The Catholic War Vets.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Altoona.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2025, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, March 21, 2025, at the funeral home, with Pastor Gary Dull officiating.

Burial will take place at Alto-Reste Park, with full military honors being conducted by The Blair County Honor Guard.
