Darren T. Duffel, 65, Altoona, passed away Tuesday. He was born in West Point, N.Y., the son of Delores (Watson) Duffel and the late Willard J. Duffel.
Darren is survived by his mom; and two brothers, Clay and Cort Duffel, all of Altoona; his aunt, Brenda Hooks of Kansas City, Kan.; and many cousins.
He was a 1978 graduate of Altoona Area High School and served in the U.S. Navy.
Darren recently retired from the housekeeping department of the Ebensburg State Center after 30 years of service.
He was an avid sports fan.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, with a funeral service immediately following at 7 p.m. in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Fred E. Hickok. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
