What to do and not to do when preseason scouting

Late this month is the magic time for many Pennsylvania hunters — the spring gobbler opener. That means that preseason scouting is a priority for hunters who need to get out in the woods and find out where the big boys are hanging out. I have been driving around some wooded areas, stopping just to listen to see if I hear any gobblers sounding off. Financing for field continues

There is good news in the way of much needed field availability to accommodate the growing number of youth soccer players in the area. The soccer field project at Strawberry Hills in Juniata received an $850,775 grant through the Local Shared Accounts funds from the state. They received $150,000 from the Department of Community and Economic Development, and Logan Township matched $27,000.
