107 POUNDS: Finalists: Dominic Picciotti, Altoona vs. Connor Sidney, Hollidaysburg. Champion: Picciotti. Comment: Strangely enough, these two haven’t wrestled yet, but it should be a good finals bout.

114 POUNDS: Finalists: Andrew Alexander, Mifflin County vs. Landon Krupka, Hollidaysburg. Champion: Alexander. Comment: Krupka will get a stiff test from State College’s Noah Young in the semifinals.

121 POUNDS: Finalists: Luke Young, State College vs. Brayden Sidney, Hollidaysburg. Champion: Young. Comment: It will be interesting to see what Sidney does against Young in their first meeting.

127 POUNDS: Finalists: Deklan Barr, Altoona vs. Kael Davis, State College. Champion: Barr. Comment: A win by last year’s OW Barr could be big for Altoona in the team race.

133 POUNDS: Finalists: Braiden Weaver, Altoona vs. Patrick Tarantella, Central Mountain. Champion: Weaver. Comment: Weaver majored returning District 6 champ Tarantella, 13-2, earlier this season.

139 POUNDS: Finalists: Wyatt Long, Bellefonte vs. Jake Knable, Mifflin County. Champion: Long. Comment: Knable will have to meet up with Central’s Mountain’s Donley in the semifinals.

145 POUNDS: Finalists: Aiden Kunes, Central Mountain vs. Reese Hite, Altoona. Champion: Kunes. Comment: Hite will have a big semifinal bout against Bellefonte’s Gall. Hite beat Gall, 5-2, in the District 6 Duals.

152 POUNDS: Finalists: James Whitbred, State College vs. Ezra Swisher, Bellefonte. Champion: Whitbred. Comment: Altoona’s Phillip Sarbo will get a shot at Swisher in the semifinals.

160 POUNDS: Finalists: Gavin Ciampoli, Altoona vs. Dalton McDermott, Central Mountain. Champion: Ciampoli. Comment: Ciampoli shouldn’t have a problem winning his third title. Hollidaysburg’s Tyler Rodgers could be his finals opponent.

172 POUNDS: Finalists: Teag Sanderson, State College vs. Jack McHail, Bellefonte. Champion: Sanderson. Comment: Hollidaysburg’s Blake Kennedy could face off against McHail in the semifinals.

189 POUNDS: Finalists: Jackson Long, Bellefonte vs. Noah Williams, State College. Champion: Long. Comment: Williams, a freshman, has won 20 in a row and can’t be counted out. Hollidaysburg freshman Keegan Hewitt is a finals candidate on Long’s side.

215 POUNDS: Finalists: Luke Hockenberry, Bellefonte vs. Todd Caris, Central Mountain. Champion: Hockenberry. Comment: I’m tempted to pick Altoona’s 2025 tournament hero Mike Colyer to make the finals to face Hockenberry, but he’s been sidelined for awhile with a knee injury.

285 POUNDS: Finalists: Hayes Henry, Central Mountain vs. Scott Payne, Hollidaysburg. Champion: Henry. Comment: Henry has 15 more wins than he had last season.

OUTSTANDING WRESTLER: Braiden Weaver, Altoona

TEAM CHAMPION: State College. Comment: Altoona or Central Mountain could also win the title.
