DAVIDSVILLE — Seventh-seeded Northern Bedford captured a 42-36 win over Conemaugh Township, the sixth seed, in a District 5 Class 2A wrestle-in for the team tournament on Thursday night in high school boys wrestling.

The Panthers picked up three wins via pin and four more through forfeits.

Kace Clapper (145-pounds), Jordan Free (172) and Nolin Snider (215) came up with falls for NBC.

Northern Bedford advances to the quarterfinals scheduled for this Saturday at Chestnut Ridge High School where it will meet up with Bedford at 11 a.m.

BELLWOOD — Glendale earned a pair of wins as it defeated Bellwood-Antis by a 53-16 score, while it also picked up a 36-27 win over Westmont Hilltop.

Ethan Gilbey (145-pounds), Dominic Kaufman (152) and Daniel Williams (285) all logged falls for the Vikings, while Tanner Ammerman (139) earned a technical fall against B-A.

Chase Focht (160) had a major decision win for the Blue Devils.

In the victory over the Hilltoppers, Harrison Snyder (121), Hayden Kohn (133), Gilbey and Kaufman won by pins for Glendale.
