Sweep for Eagles

SPRING MILLS — The Tyrone boys and girls teams both came through with sweeps over Central and Penns Valley, while the Dragons’ teams each defeated the Rams.

The Golden Eagles earned an 88-62 win over Central and a 110-40 victory over Penns Valley, while the Scarlet Dragons beat PV by a 98-51 final.

The Lady Eagles cruised by Central 102-47 and Penns Valley, 107-35, while the Lady Dragons had a 109-40 win over Penns PV.

Josiah Bellinger was a double-winner for the Dragons with wins in the shot put and discus on the boys side.

Sarah Chichester (100 and 200 dashes), Lola Woomer (high and long jumps) and Josie Dicken (shot put and discus) all won two events each for the Tyrone girls.

JOHNSTOWN — The Bishop Guilfoyle track and field teams suffered losses to Westmont Hilltop with the boys losing 104-30, while the girls fell by a 87-44 final.
