Why I picked Saint Francis: “I picked SFU because it gives me the opportunity to prove what I am capable of while still staying close to friends and family.”

Greatest high school achievement: “My greatest high school achievement is winning the District 6 1A soccer championship and sharing that moment with my dad, who coached me through all of it.”

Coach Chad Ryan’s quote: “Playing athletics at the collegiate level is an aspiration many student-athletes don’t get to experience. Watching one of your athletes accomplish this milestone can only make a coach proud and grateful to have been a small part of that journey. Angus taking the next steps to play at the collegiate level has not just been about Angus’s performances on the field. It encompasses all the long hours of training, the sacrifices that had to be made and all the things he chose to do when no one was looking. He has made a lasting impression on our program, and we know he will continue to excel both on and off the field. “‘

How I got my start in soccer: “I got my start when my family moved to Belize for a year, where I met kids who were different from me, but we all shared the same love for the sport.”

Favorite college growing up: Oregon Ducks

Other interests: Ice hockey, hunting, fishing, cooking and spending time with friends.

What getting to play in college means to me: “It means everything to me. I didn’t start playing in a competitive scene until I was a freshman, and working hard enough to go from not knowing how the sport worked to me playing at the college level means that this is the path that God is calling me to be a part of, by spreading His message through the game that I love.”

Probable college major: Exercise Physiology to DPT
