Hollidaysburg improved its record to 7-0 with a 4-1 victory over Altoona in high school tennis action on Monday at the Mansion Park courts.

Seniors Garrett Bouchard, Felix Xu and Michael Waibel swept the singles matches for the Golden Tigers, and Jacob Sidney and Aamir Azad won the No. 2 doubles match.

Altoona, which fell to 2-3, received a win at No. 1 doubles from Aiden Aiken and Avery Lanzendorfer.

Central volleyball downed

MARTINSBURG — The Central boys volleyball team dropped to 2-1 Monday night, losing to Derry Area, 25-20, 25-15, 23-25, 25-18, in high school play.

The Scarlet Dragons got 15 kills from Christian Heuston to go with 24 assists from Landon Rhodes. Colby Gojmerac added eight blocks while Lincoln Mauk led with seven service points.

Blake Reynolds finished with three aces out of his five service points for Central.
