The Altoona Area High School football team’s District 6-8-10 Class 6A semifinal game this Friday will be played in Erie against McDowell.
Altoona coach Vince Nedimyer Jr. confirmed Sunday that the game, which appeared to be a home game for Altoona based on the District 6 rankings on its website after Friday’s games, will not be held at Masion Park, but will be played in Erie at 7 p.m.
As of Sunday afternoon, the District 6 website took down its football rankings and posted this message: “The football rankings are offline while we add some missing out-of-state game results.”
