SIDMAN -- Central Cambria is winning big with largely the same players who struggled through a 4-6 campaign in 2025.

Senior Ryan Chappell scored four touchdowns, including three in the first half of the Red Devils 42-12 romp against Forest Hills on Friday in a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference football game at G.H. Miller Stadium.

Quarterback Mason Pittsinger completed 10 of 14 passes for 165 yards and one touchdown for the Red Devils, who extended their winning streak to six games.

Central Cambria held Forest Hills to 142 total yards, including 56 on the ground.

Play of the game: Chappell ran 29 yards for a second-quarter touchdown that padded the Central Cambria lead to 14-6.

Player of the game: Chappell rushed for a game-best 117 yards. He also scored first-half touchdowns on runs of 6 and 10 yards. He threw in a 5-yard touchdown run in the third period.

Unsung hero: Jack Dawson made his presence known once the second-string players took over. The 230-pound Central Cambria sophomore rushed seven times for 58 yards. "He is absolute beast running the football," Red Devils coach Wade Klezek said. "He has a lot of football left in him. So, we're excited about Jack."

Most vital statistics: The Red Devils gained 437 total yards, including 272 rushing. They did not commit a turnover.

Klezek: "Our line has been phenomenal. We have five seniors on the line, five returning starters from last year. They have such good chemistry and continuity. Those five players are very physical. And then when they are physical and you have backs like Ryan, they can be special back there, they're really hard to stop."

Forest Hills coach Tom Blanchetti: "I told my team that game was won in the weight room. You can see by their size, their strength, and their physicality that they spent a lot of time in there. And that is something that this program here at Forest Hills will have to work through in the off-season and in the coming year."

Chappell: "Our O-line had a great push. It was easy for me to make a cut off that. I kept my nose down and pushed through to get extra yards. I knew I needed 137 to get 1,000, so it kind of motivated me. But if I did not get that done, next week I'll definitely reach that number."

Notable: Chappell's fourth touchdown of the night created a 36-point difference and caused the enactment of the mercy rule. ... Pittsinger completed passes to eight receivers. Kutchman led the Red Devils with three receptions for 28 yards. ... Kutchman also recovered two onside kicks that followed Red Devils touchdowns. Forest Hills did not run off a play from scrimmage for 5 minutes, 28 seconds during that juncture. ... Forest Hills quarterback Ryder Kovach completed 8 of 12 passes for 76 yards. His 13-yard scoring pass to Cam Vitez in the first period gave the Rangers a lead that lasted a shade over 6 minutes. ... Lincoln Minor rushed 3 yards for a fourth-quarter score. ... Neither team punted. ... The Rangers lost one fumble. ...Forest Hills has lost three in a row and five of its last six games.

Records: Central Cambria (6-1, 4-0 LHAC West-2), Forest Hills (2-5, 1-3).

Next week: Central Cambria visits Central on Friday, and Forest Hills plays at Bishop Guilfoyle on Saturday.
