Altoona baseball team heads to District 6 playoffs at 9-11

CAMP HILL — Altoona dropped a Mid-Penn game to Cedar Cliff, 13-3, in five innings to finish the regular season at 9-11 in high school baseball on Tuesday. Vinny Nedimyer paced Altoona with two hits, including a two-run double. Cedar Cliff was led by Michael Boblick and Blake Secrest, who each drove in four runs. Boblick blasted a grand slam as part of an eight-run third inning. Altoona hosts State College at 4 p.m. Thursday in the District 6 Class 6A semifinals.
