WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg jumped out to a 27-8 lead after one quarter en route to a 67-29 win over Northern Bedford in high school girls basketball Tuesday.

Williamsburg, which finished the regular season at 20-2, will face Southern Huntingdon in the Inter-County Conference semifinals on Friday.

Levada Gorsuch led the Lady Pirates with 19 points, and Brynn Lower scored 11.

Isabella Sloey’s 25 points were tops for the Lady Blue Devils (12-9), who were without the services of leading scorer Lilly Gerwert.

B-A also got 10 points from Peyton Hammond.

Anna Taylor collected 23 points and 10 rebounds for Valley, now 14-7, Mazzy Hartman had 12 points and 11 rebounds, Sage Walters scored 16 points, and Aubrey Anderson added 11 points.

Mustangs downed

WINDBER — Autumn Walz hit a 3-point shot with seven seconds left in the game to give Windber a 51-48 victory over Portage.

The Mustangs (12-10) got off a last-second attempt to force overtime but came up short.

Liana Bagby led Portage, down 28-12 at halftime, with 16 points. Teammate Britton Myher added 12 points.

Windber (18-3) got 16 points from Kaylie Gaye and 14 from Walz.
