NEW PARIS -- It's rare that any player in a football game comes up with one interception return for a touchdown.

For Bellwood-Antis' Jackson Dorminy, lightning struck twice and turnovers ended up being the Blue Devils' best friend.

Thanks to Dorminy's two pick-6s along with two additional interceptions, Bellwood-Antis spoiled Chestnut Ridge's senior night with 46-28 triumph in a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference contest at Dr. Giovacchini Stadium.

"I don't think we've ever had two pick-6s from the same guy in one game, so that was a great accomplishment for him," Bellwood-Antis coach Nick Lovrich said. "Our guys up front got pressure, which forced the throw and Jackson made a good read on it, and we had good blocking. Guys made that into an offensive play for us."

Sequence of the game: After Chestnut Ridge cut the deficit to 12, Bellwood-Antis scored on an 8-yard run by Chase Plummer before the second pick-6 by Dorminy put the game out of reach.

Player of the game: Dorminy's two interceptions accounted for almost 100 yards.

Unsung heroes: The Blue Devil defensive line, which held the Lions to 57 yards rushing and created the pressure necessary for the turnovers. Christian Jennings along with Brady Hostler had the other two interceptions.

Most vital statistics: Nineteen of the Blue Devil points came off of their four turnovers, and they held Lions offense in check, allowing 57 yards on the ground.

Lovrich: "We got all 11 guys doing their job, and that's why football is the ultimate team game. Someone is going to benefit like Jackson benefited. We were able to stop the run because guys were filling their gaps; we tackled much better today. I was very proud of our effort tonight.''

Chestnut Ridge coach Max Shoemaker: "We have to continue to work to clean those (turnovers) up. When we don't commit them the few times that we've done it this year, we've looked like a pretty good ball club. When we do as we did tonight, it turns south in a hurry. Give Bellwood credit. They did a nice job up front handling the line of scrimmage.''

Notable: The win kept the Blue Devils in seventh place in the District 6 Class 2A playoff rankings in a field that expects to take eight to the postseason. ... Both teams played a disciplined game, combining for just 10 penalties for 105 yards. ... The Blue Devils and the Lions matched each other in first downs with 17 and had a difference of 42 yards of total offense. ... Despite getting picked off four times, Lions quarterback Landyn Pincin completed 75 percent of his passes (24 of 32) for 258 yards with two touchdown passes.

Records: Bellwood-Antis (4-4), Chestnut Ridge (3-5).

Next week: Bellwood-Antis welcomes Bellefonte, while Chestnut Ridge travels to Westmont Hilltop.
