Lawson scores twice to carry Bishop Guilfoyle JV football past Penns Valley

Theo Lawson ran for two touchdowns to help the Bishop Guilfoyle Academy junior varsity football team defeat Penns Valley, 34-18, on Monday at Tom Irwin Field.

It was the second opener for both teams.

Landen Shellenberger ran for a score and also threw one to Jake Marasco, and Keegan Hewitt also scored on a 5-yard run for the Marauders.

BELLWOOD -- Brady Crist had a touchdown run, an 85-yard kickoff return for a score and intercepted a pass and returned it 20 yards for another touchdown to lead Bellwood-Antis to a 32-0 victory over Clearfield.

Owen Stoltzfus and Reid Schreier caught touchdown passes from Brendan McNelis.

It was the season opener for both clubs.

Madyson Burdge added 12 assists, and Ava Wise had a team-high seven kills.
