DISTRICT 6-8-9-10 PLAYOFFS

CLASS 5A SEMIFINALS

Allderdice (4) at Hollidaysburg (1), 7

Notable: Golden Tigers beat Allderdice, 42-0, in the second week of the season. The game was scoreless through a quarter.

DISTRICT 6 PLAYOFFS

CLASS 3A SEMIFINALS

Central (4) at Penn Cambria (1), 7

Notable: Central has ended Penn Cambria's season in the District 6 Class 3A playoffs in each of the last three seasons.

Tyrone (3) at Forest Hills (2), 7

Notable: Despite these teams having plenty of playoff history, last year's crossover win by the Rangers was the first meeting in nine years.

CLASS 2A QUARTERFINALS

McCort-Carroll (8) at Cambria Heights (1), 7

Notable: Heights hasn't played either McCort or Carroll since 2020 but won its last four vs. BC and has won three straight vs. McCort.

Bellwood-Antis (5) at River Valley (4), 7

Notable: This will be the first matchup between the schools. B-A played Blairsville in the 2011 postseason and won, 35-21.

CLASS 1A QUARTERFINALS

Juniata Valley (8) at Bishop Guilfoyle (1), 7

Notable: Teams have met in the postseason six times since 2012. Hornets got lone win, 9-3, in 2018 and made it to PIAA semifinals.

Portage (8) at Northern Cambria (2), 7

Notable: Colts won 28-14 last week. Teams last met in the postseason in 2012 when NC won 20-14 at higher-seeded Portage.

Penns Manor (6) at Moshannon Valley (3), 7

Notable: Comets are 2-1 in three playoff games against Moshannon Valley since 2011 with a 35-14 win in 2016 being the most recent.

Claysburg-Kimmel (5) at Glendale (4), 7

Notable: Bulldogs won 47-0 at home earlier this year, but Glendale won 34-7 in Flinton last year and the previous two matchups before that.

DISTRICT 5 PLAYOFFS

CLASS 2A SEMIFINALS

Chestnut Ridge (4) at Bedford (1), 7

Notable: In earlier matchup, Ridge won 25-7, and both teams had only 9 yards passing each. Ridge also won, 34-0, last year.

CLASS 1A SEMIFINALS

Meyersdale (3) at Northern Bedford (2), 7

Notable: Teams meet for second time this year and fourth time in two years with NBC winning previous three by combined score of 113-34.
