1 min read

HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Hollidaysburg Golden Tiger Football Association's Facebook page confirmed sophomore Spencer Davis had a medical emergency during a football play at Hollidaysburg's varsity practice on Wednesday.

He was transported to UPMC Altoona and according to the Facebook post, he was listed in stable condition.

A post from a woman who identified herself as Davis' aunt said tests on his heart and body came back normal, but that he did aspirate fluids during the incident and was transferred to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.

A report of the incident came across the police scanner at around 4:30 p.m., and it was later classified as cardiac arrest on the scanner.

On Thursday, a post left on the Facebook page said Davis was awake and in stable condition, and that doctors in Pittsburgh were still running tests.

The Golden Tigers are at Mifflinburg tonight.
