HARRISBURG — A strong third quarter helped carry Altoona to an 83-67 victory over Harrisburg in high school boys basketball action on Friday.
Down 27-25 at half, Altoona outscored Harrisburg, 33-19, in the third quarter and went on for its third win in 12 games.
Ethan Hicks led the Mountain Lions with 22 points, Justin Pfeffer scored 20, and Chris Wagner had 17. Damir Arp scored 28 for Harrisburg.

LOYSBURG — Northern Bedford evened its record at 6-6 with a 63-50 win over Tussey Mountain.
The Panthers, up 21-19 at halftime, got 25 points from Cavan Lloyd, 13 points from Nate Eckenroad and 10 points from Nevin Lloyd.
Tussey Mountain (1-12), was led by Toryn Garner’s 17 points.
