Notable: Since the start of six classifications in 2017, Altoona has won seven of the nine District 6 championships. State College won its only title in 2018, and Mifflin County won in 2022. ... Altoona won 22 Class 4A District 6 titles, and State College won eight. The Lady Lions also won two Class 3A district titles (1983, 1981). ... Altoona went 2-0 against State College this season with a 67-42 win on Dec. 10 at State College and a 56-41 triumph over State College at the AAHS Fieldhouse in a game the Little Lions led at halftime on Jan. 13. ... Two of Altoona's four losses this season were to Central Dauphin by a combined total of six points. The Lady Lions' only other two losses were out of conference at the start of the season while Brionna Hudson was still recovering from an injury.
