Bishop Guilfoyle girls basketball team’s Morgan Ruggery goes over 1,000 points

BEDFORD — Morgan Ruggery led Bishop Guilfoyle Academy with 14 points, including her 1,000th career point during the second quarter, in Friday’s 68-33 win over Bedford in high school girls basketball.

“We are extremely proud of Morgan for scoring her 1,000th career point,” BG coach Kristi Kaack said. “This achievement reflects the countless hours of work she puts in during the offseason and her commitment to getting better every day. Her success is well deserved.”

Anberlyn Petrecca added 12 points for the Lady Marauders, and Mary Haigh scored 10.

BG improved its record to 13-0 and will host Clearfield on Monday.

Bishop Carroll improved to 14-1 overall.
