BG’s Foor hits game-winner

Nick Foor, who led Bishop Guilfoyle Academy with 17 points, hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Marauders to a 66-63 win over Trinity in high school boys basketball at Penn State Altoona’s Adler Arena on Saturday.

Troy Ruggery added 14 points, Taurean Consiglio scored 11 points and Hamilton Games chipped in with 10 points for BG, now 9-3. Trinity fell to 10-3.

Central nips Tyrone

MARTINSBURG — Central overcame a 10-point deficit after the first quarter with the help of 14 3-pointers as a team in a 65-63 victory over rival Tyrone in high school boys basketball on Saturday.

Eli Muthler scored a game-high 35 points for the Scarlet Dragons, including seven 3-pointers.

Andrew Escala scored 19 points to lead the Golden Eagles, who were playing without Sam Crilly, who was banged up in a loss to Bishop Guilfoyle on Friday.

Ashton Walk added 14 points for the Eagles, who also got double-figure scoring from Kendall Lehner (13) and Eli Woomer (11).

ALEXANDRIA — Williamsburg rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to sail past Juniata Valley in an 85-75 win on Friday in boys basketball.

Logan Brantner scored a game-high 27 points for the Blue Pirates. Ethan Reffner added 17 points, Evan Zehner scored 11 points and Jesse Brumbaugh had 10 points.

Kyler Spurlin led the Green Hornets with 20 points. Jett Rand added 19 points, Ethan Scalia scored 11 and Laken Cook chipped in with 10 points.
