EBENSBURG -- Central Cambria held Penn Cambria to six points in the third quarter to take control in its 65-59 win over the Panthers in high school boys basketball action on Thursday night.
J.D. Brouse and Grady Snyder each scored 15 points for the Red Devils, and Brayden Swope added 12 points. The Red Devils improved their record to 3-2 overall.
Brandon Rabish scored a team-high 16 points for Penn Cambria. Caden Gibbons added 13 points, and Blake Lilly had 12 for the Panthers.
Both teams will be playing in the Ron Davidson Roundball Classic at Central Cambria on Saturday and Monday.

Portage wins again
ARMAGH -- Bode Layo scored a game-high 20 points, and Trae Kargo chipped in with 16 points to lead Portage to a 70-65 victory over United, which came into the game with just one loss.
Ethan Hodge scored 13 points, and Owen Gouse added 12 points for the Mustangs.
Carter Payne scored 24 points for United.
Earlier in the week, Portage lost, 68-55, to Northern Cambria in a game that Kargo scored 24 points.
