MIDDLETOWN -- The Altoona boys basketball team was outscored, 20-8, in the third quarter Saturday in a 62-47 loss to Manheim Township at the Middletown Christmas Tournament in high school play.
The Mountain Lions (2-7) got 10 points from Josh Lowery and eight points from Gavin Dunkle. Both players were named to the all-tourney team for their two-game effort.
Tyler Gray had 17 points to lead Manheim Township.

The Marauders (5-2) got seven points each from Tyson Lestochi and Hamilton Gates in a game they trailed, 34-11, at halftime.
Morgantown (5-0) got 14 points from Max Frey and 13 points from Akir Johnson.

JOHNSTOWN - Leading 18-5 after one quarter in the Westmont Hilltop Christmas Tournament, Portage was outscored, 28-9, in the second quarter en route to a 62-47 loss to the host Hilltoppers in the title game.
Trae Kargo led Portage (6-3) with 16 points. Bode Layo added nine points. Both players were named to the all-tourney team.
Westmont (8-1) got 23 points from Jack Wesner and 13 points from Aiden Kohan.
Bishop Carroll beat Propel Montour, 67-49, in the consolation game.
The Huskies (2-5) got 33 points from Jace Casses, including five 3-pointers in a game they led, 30-7, after one quarter. Teammates Llehson Walker and Will Tremel added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
John Anderson led Propel Montour with 14 points.
