WILLIAMSPORT -- The Hollidaysburg Area High School girls basketball team lost its first game, falling to Williamsport, 37-36, on Wednesday.
The Lady Tigers led by seven after one quarter and three heading into the fourth quarter, but Williamsport rallied for the win. The Lady Tigers, playing without leading scorer Bella Vent, hit just 7-of-14 free throw attempts.
Lauren Stevenson scored 16 for Hollidaysburg, and Clare Padamonsky scored 11. Payton Baney led the Lady Millionaires with 12 points.

Bellwood falls

NORTHERN CAMBRIA -- Portage jumped out to a 45-17 halftime lead en route to a 56-21 win at Northern Cambria.
The Lady Mustangs, who improved to 19-1, got 16 points from Jenna Burkett and 10 points from Alex Chobany.
Ella Miller and Teagan Pala each scored six points for the Lady Colts (3-13).
