Williamsburg trio lift Blue Pirates into tournament finals
RENOVO — Williamsburg’s Zach Kagarise led a balanced attack with 21 points in a 70-59 win over Warrior Run in the first round of the Bucktail Tournament.
R.J. Royer added 18 points to go with 17 from Rowan Gorsuch in a game the Blue Pirates outscored their opponent, 28-7, in the fourth.
Williamsburg will play St. Joseph’s in the title game Saturday. The Wolfpack defeated Bucktail, 93-57, in the othe first-round game.

Portage rallies
JOHNSTOWN — Trailing 48-37 to begin the fourth quarter, Portage outscored Bishop Walsh, 27-10, and posted a 64-58 victory in the first round of the Westmont Hilltop Tip-Off Tournament.
Mason Kargo scored 14 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter to spark the Mustangs, Bode Layo and Andrew Miko each scored 13.
Portage will play Westmont Hilltop in the finals Saturday. The Hilltoppers beat Bishop Carroll in the other first-round game. BC plays Bishop Walsh in the consy game.

Tigers falter
