Waite tosses complete-game gem in Altoona’s baseball win

Altoona defeated Cedar Cliff, 2-0, at Mansion Park in high school baseball Tuesday. Connor Waite threw a complete game three-hitter while striking out 10 and walking only one. Waite’s 10th strikeout ended the game and stranded runners on second and third. Nick Kraft and Carter McConnell each had run scoring singles for Altoona while Kraft totaled two hits on the day.
