PHILIPSBURG — Josh Banks had four hits and scored two runs to lead the Hollidaysburg baseball team to a 7-5 win over Philipsburg-Osceola on Monday in high school action.

Mack Layton homered for the Tigers (17-2), who scored five runs in the fifth inning for a 7-1 lead. Ty McGough had two RBIs. Teammate Mack Layton added a home run, while Braden Hatch and Mason Mierley also finished with two hits each.

The Mounties (11-7) got two hits and four RBIs from Parker Lamb. Teammate Fischer White added three hits.

JOHNSTOWN — Nick Syphan’s RBI groundout in the fifth inning put Bishop McCort ahead to stay in a 5-4 win over Penn Cambria at Point Stadium.

Nate Denhard went the distance for McCort to earn the win. Caden Gibbons homered for Penn Cambria, and Drake Talko and Grant Gides each had two hits.
