Walters

Name: Devin Walters

School: Hollidaysburg Area

Age: 16

Grade: Sophomore

Sport: Soccer

Athlete of the week achievement: Walters had a hat trick and an assist in Hollidaysburg's 6-0 win over Altoona on Friday after he tied the game and helped the Golden Tigers earn a draw in a 2-2 game against the Mountain Lions earlier in the week. He also had another hat trick in a 7-1 win over Penns Valley and scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 triumph over Huntingdon.

Season update: Walters has scored 23 goals this season for Hollidaysburg, which is 9-2-2.

Coach Craig Shale's quote: "Devin has had an outstanding season so far. He has become a leader on this team with 23 goals and counting. His blistering speed is what stands out initially but there is so much more to his game. He is tough as nails and wins most 50-50 battles, he is composed in front of goal and is clinical in his finishing. He is also a big time kicker on the football team and a track star in the spring. We are so glad he came out for soccer and look forward to seeing what the rest of the season brings."
