Athlete of the week achievement: Paskowski defeated Central's Kate Dunn to win the District 6 Class 2A singles championship. She also won at No. 1 singles in the Lady Red Devils' victory over Altoona.

Season update: Paskowski has compiled a 15-4 record at No. 1 singles for the Lady Red Devils, who are 13-3.

Co-coaches Jim White and Jeff Livermore quote: "Lydia is our only senior this year. She is one of our captains and has provided excellent leadership for our team. Lydia worked really hard to improve her tennis game this season, and it has shown in her performance during team matches and the district singles playoffs last week, culminating in winning the championship.
