Athlete of the week achievement: Royer scored 17 points in a win over Class 5A Indiana, and then added 13 points in a win over Class 3A Forest Hills to lead Williamsburg to a championship at the Forest Hills season-opening tournament.

Season update: Royer and Williamsburg are off to a 2-0 start. She's averaging 15 points per game.

Coach Angela Detwiler's quote: "LeeAnna is a true point guard. She gives her team so much on both ends of the floor and makes her teammates better. She elevates our defense and sets her teammates up offensively. She is incredibly quick and plays hard all the time. I love coaching her."

How I got my start in basketball: "My family got me started playing at 4 years old, and I would go to my brother's basketball practices. My first real coach that I played for was Fred Miller."
