Athlete of the week achievement: Metzger scored 21 points in a 71-47 win over Clearfield and added a game-high 18 points in an 84-36 win over Philipsburg-Osceola.

Season update: The Golden Tigers are 7-0, and Metzger is averaging 20 points, five rebounds and four assists per game.

Coach Brad Lear's quote: "Kasen has played very well for us this season. He has taken over a leadership role for us and has really blossomed in that regard. What has been so fun to watch is that he is able to lead us in so many other ways, not just scoring. He is well-liked, easy to coach, and does everything he can to support the team and the coaching staff in the locker room and on the court."
