Name: Mason Campagna

School: Claysburg-Kimmel

Age: 16

Grade: Junior

Sport: Football

Athlete of the week achievement: Campagna ran the ball 18 times for 188 yards and two touchdowns and also was 11-for-14 passing for 127 yards in guiding the Bulldogs back from a 21-0 deficit in a 34-28 win over Curwensville.

Season update: Campagna has carried the ball 85 times for 611 yards (a 7.2 average per carry) and nine touchdowns. He also is 45-for-82 for 629 yards passing and a pair of scores.

Coach Chuck Kassick's quote: "Mason is without question one of our leaders. He was voted as a captain this season (as a junior). He's our leading passer, rusher, scorer and one of our leading tacklers. But he never lets any individual accolades get in the way of the team goals. He's one of the hardest working in-season and out. I can't say enough about him, and that translated exactly to the (Curwensville) game. He pushed through adversity and let his ability shine when we needed it the most."
