Trexler firing on all cylinders

2 min read

Name: Kira Trexler

School: Central

Age: 17

Grade: Senior

Sport: Soccer

Athlete of the week achievement: Trexler scored three goals and had five assists in Central's 12-0 season-opening win over Chestnut Ridge.

Season update: Trexler's assists raised her career total to 46, a Central record.

Coach Randy Trexler's quote: "Kira had a great start to the season. Two of her assists came from passes that eliminated four defenders (both instances) to find her teammates for the score, not to mention her other teammates' bodies. I'm very proud of her achieving the new career assist record in Lady Dragon history. I don't think she realizes the significance, but I can say she definitely values assisting over scoring goals and that describes how she is as a person off the field."
