Athlete of the week achievement: Kensinger struck out 11 batters and allowed just one earned run in a victory over Bishop Guilfoyle, and he went 8-for-17 with two home runs, two doubles, a triple and nine RBIs for the Golden Tigers in a week they went 3-1 with their only loss coming to state power Bellefonte, 12-11. Kensinger also scored nine runs.

Season update: Kensinger is hitting .375 with 12 RBIs and a team-high three home runs. He is also 4-0 on the mound with an ERA of 1.81.

Coach Jon Szynal's quote: "Carson had an outstanding week on the mound and at the plate. He's a very good baseball player and has excelled at everything we ask him to do, which is a lot. He's a very competitive athlete, and all his hard work definitely rewarded him this past week."
