Name: Kihlee Noel

School: Altoona Area

Age: 16

Grade: Sophomore

Sport: Track and field

Athlete of the week achievement: Noel won the shot put and discus in a win over Harrisburg. She placed second in the shot and third in the discus at the Lock Haven Invitational, and she leads the Mirror's Track Honor Roll in both of those events.

Season update: Noel's personal record in shot put is 38 feet, 2.5 inches (a new sophomore record for the Lady Lions) and in the discus it is 112 feet, 7 inches.

Coach Paula Foreman's quote: "Kihlee continues to show improvement and growth in her throwing and most recently broke the sophomore record in shot, a record held since 1993. She has been working hard with throws coach Jeff Shultz to improve her technique and reach the goals she has set for herself this year. Her commitment to improvement is commendable and as a sophomore she has the opportunity to do some big things in the future."
