Athlete of the week achievement: Adams scored 15 points and stood out defensively in BG's 51-45 win over Williamsburg in the PIAA Class 1A semifinals. She scored three points and also led a defensive effort (with four steals) in holding Mountain View to 17 points in the PIAA championship win in Hershey.

Season update: Adams averaged 5.0 points, 2.0 steals and 1.4 assists per game for BG, which finished the season with a 29-3 mark.

Coach Kristi Kaack's quote: "Gia has played a fantastic week-plus of basketball. Her defensive performances against Williamsburg and Mountain View changed the game for both teams entirely. She proved she is one of the best on-ball defenders in the area, earning her a return to the starting lineup. A phenomenal teammate, her floor game this past month displayed the amount she has grown in one season.''
