Athlete of the week achievement: Ferris was a straight set winner in her match against Altoona in the District 6 Class 3A team semifinals, won 6-0, 6-0 in her District 6 final match against State College and won in straight sets again against Bedford to help the Lady Tigers win the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference team championship.

Season update: Ferris and Hollidaysburg will continue their season in the PIAA team tournament beginning Tuesday, Oct. 24. The Lady Tigers are 20-0.

Coach Brian Denis' quote: "Megan is such a great athlete. She would be so good at any sport she tried. She's an even better person, and genuinely a terrific kid. She had an outstanding week and has had an unbelievable senior season. She's a great role model for the younger kids and will go down as one of the best to put on the Lady Tiger uniform."
