Athlete of the week achievement: Denis won the individual girls golf championship at the Ebensburg Country Club Invitational with an 84 and shot a nine-hole round of 1-over par 38 in a regular season Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference matchup in wins over Bishop McCort and Penn Cambria. In tennis, she made her varsity debut at No. 1 singles and defeated the District 6 Class 2A singles runner-up, 6-0, 6-0, in the team's 5-0 win over Central Cambria.

Season update: The Hollidaysburg girls golf team is 3-0, and the tennis team is 3-0.

Coach Jill Hileman's quote: "Crosby has had a great start to the golf season. The expectation and anticipation of her coming in as a freshman and being our No. 1 golfer has not affected her. She has met that challenge and performed as expected and led our team."

How I got my start in golf and tennis: "For golf, I went out playing with my dad when I was 4 or 5, and I was hitting with my parents since I was a toddler in tennis."
