Athlete of the week achievement: Peterson hit a two-run inside-the-park home run to tie Glendale's first-round PIAA win over Meyersdale and was the winning pitcher with 10 strikeouts and no walks. She then allowed just two earned runs in eight innings and struck out three in a complete-game win for the Lady Vikings over Carmichaels in the PIAA quarterfinals.
Season update: Peterson is batting .518 through 25 games with 21 RBIs, 11 doubles, a triple and a home run. In the circle, she has a 2.24 ERA with a 13-3 record, two shutouts and 124 strikeouts to just 25 walks in 103.1 innings.
