Portage loves Burkett’s speed

Athlete of the week achievement: Burkett won the 100- and 200-meter dashes at the Bill Wilt Memorial Invitational at United High School and posted her best 200 time of the year to date. Earlier in the week, Burkett won the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes for Portage in victories over River Valley and Homer-Center.

Season update: Portage is undefeated in dual meets and Burkett has the best time in the Mirror's Honor Roll in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes.
